Why S.Q.S?

I have received that question a lot in the last 7 years; and I just recently asked myself the same question…

S.Q.S is not just a Marketplace Ministry that provides several services in Mentoring, Recovery & Community… It’s a “game changer” on how we HEAL, IDENTIFY & OPERATE in a broken world.

We are told to remove “church” from a lot of things; but the result of that is evident. Our Spiritual Health is EQUALLY important as is our Emotional and Physical well-being. The “church” is beyond a building; it is the body of Christ, and it is broken as well!

Our Trauma and unresolved childhood wounds play a MAJOR part in the decisions that are made, who we become, and how we overall operate in life. A lot of us don’t tackle the root of things that created our “cycles” and misery, and have learned to operate in neutral or accordingly.

Being Numb, Cruel, and Selfish is the new normal!

I used to (still do at times) take it personal when others don’t understand the vision of S.Q.S. It was placed on my heart as a teenager; and has been transformed in time as the needs of the community have changed.

S.Q.S is NOT a one-size-fits-all type of business. It was created for those of us who are tired of being tired, have lost their way to what the world says is success, and dictating our identity and worth.

It’s not meant for the weak; real work is required in order to get to the healed version of yourself.

Who wants to do that!?

We are so used to being able to access things quickly; or business advertising “quick fixes” to our problems, that are ultimately only band aids for our broken souls.

We always want more; because we are chasing after the wrong things to begin with.

We want to HEAL; but don’t want to deal with the demons and trauma that need to be dealt with in order to heal!

Mental Health, Addictions of any kind, Lost souls who seek Purpose… Whatever your circumstances may be; S.Q.S was created for those of us who are done and just finally want to heal, find our true Identities, and actually THRIVE in life over “Survival Mode.”

From Peer Support Groups, Workshops, Individual & Group Mentoring, Ministry, & Partnerships/Collaborations with other Organizations... The goal is to help others help themselves for the long-term; regardless of how many times one has fallen.

Your current dynamic can always be changed; but it takes a STRONG foundation in Christ, and consistently letting go of the burdens that were never ours to begin with!
